Jeremy Scott for Longchamp AGAIN!
Jeremy Scott, the "anti-conformist" who is known for his pop-culture inspired fashion label, and for his indefinite strange twists on fashion. So not so-unlikely, he has a longtime relationship with the fashion house Longchamp since 2006. The two houses couldn't be different, but somehow this seems to work. In their latest collaboration, the two released the "Bones" bag using the iconic Longchamp style bag. This bag plays it's way into Scott's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, inspired by the Flintstones. The pink canvas bag is printed with bones which is inspired by the Flintstones character "Pebbles". Available in all Longchamp stores this month.

Bazaar's take on Classic Layers
Layering is the secret to your winter blues. If you put Kate Moss, Agyness Deyn, and Kirsten Dunst together, you have the perfect Southern California winter outfit and steeze. This Classy rocker vibe is faultless because it says don’t mess with me, but love me madly. We would like you to start off with a sexy bra and then your favorite comfy boyfriend tee. Then grab you’re Splendid or Ella Moss wrap. From there you get your beloved cashmere sweater, and then you’ll grab your go to jacket or coat. Put on leggings, jeans, or a skirt with tights and your ankle boots or motorcycle boots. (Don’t forget your ‘valley bazaar bootlettes’) Then add a scarf and a beanie. Our color palette this winter is black, burgundy, army green, brown, winter white, mustard yellow and gray. You want to start monochromatically. This means with one color in mind. So say you choose black as your main monochromatic color. You get a faded black concert tee and then a black splendid cover up… Then a burgundy cashmere sweater and a tan leather jacket. Wear black leggings or tights with knee highs over and a pair of boots. Then add a black scarf and beanie and you are set. You can peel off layers as you get warm and add them once you get chilly. Be creative, youthful, and glamourous; but stay classic. Inspire yourself to try different color patterns and prints, but be sure to keep in mind your monochromatic color. They sky is the limit when layering, so have fun!! You can find perfect bras and jumpsuits to start your layering process off right on the Valley Bazaar website!

Army of Disco Cavewomen at BALMAIN
Christophe Decarnin's visible influence for Balmain was clearly taken from a surplus chain store. Decarnin's army of sleek rail thin models strut the walk with huge-shouldered pads, metal epaulettes military coats, and shredded sequin mini dresses. Tight colors of gold, army green, black and silver tamed a artful military palette. Tattered t-shirts, raggedy loincloths moved to a seventies disco Versace party gone military-esc. Balmain none the less had a huge runway success.

Geometric Graphic-ART
Riccardo Tisci, the Givenchy genius, created quite an awakening at his Spring 2010 show in Paris. Looks from geometric bold prints in black and white, draped layers with graphic jackets with subtle Arabic influences. Tiny kilts, drop crotch harem pants, modernized tutus, his mix of madness was quite a show. Zigzag psychedelic prints with platform wedges blending in the same print covered and wrapped in tulles. He showed goddess dresses in white tulle that told the story of his research of Roman couture.

Lavishly Hard
STUDs on you.
Studs just seem to be making a bigger statement each week in fashion. When is this trend over? I think not yet. After flipping through FRENCH VOGUE today... I think they are here tacked down for a bit. Gold pyramids to silver cones, Studs are taking over. Studded chucks worn by Ms. AGNES, to statement clutch from Jimmy Choo. And Ms. Olsen, always over the top, we will leave it at that.
