Army of Disco Cavewomen at BALMAIN
Christophe Decarnin's visible influence for Balmain was clearly taken from a surplus chain store. Decarnin's army of sleek rail thin models strut the walk with huge-shouldered pads, metal epaulettes military coats, and shredded sequin mini dresses. Tight colors of gold, army green, black and silver tamed a artful military palette. Tattered t-shirts, raggedy loincloths moved to a seventies disco Versace party gone military-esc. Balmain none the less had a huge runway success.

Geometric Graphic-ART
Riccardo Tisci, the Givenchy genius, created quite an awakening at his Spring 2010 show in Paris. Looks from geometric bold prints in black and white, draped layers with graphic jackets with subtle Arabic influences. Tiny kilts, drop crotch harem pants, modernized tutus, his mix of madness was quite a show. Zigzag psychedelic prints with platform wedges blending in the same print covered and wrapped in tulles. He showed goddess dresses in white tulle that told the story of his research of Roman couture.

Haute for the Holidays
The perfect gift for a girl who is truely jewelry obsessed. This is the magical time of the year. For me, holiday giving is a all about sharing treasured finds- big or small, shiny or dull, studdecd or lacey. These are a few of my favorite things. Shop valleybazaarvalleybazaar.com

Lavishly Hard
STUDs on you.
Studs just seem to be making a bigger statement each week in fashion. When is this trend over? I think not yet. After flipping through FRENCH VOGUE today... I think they are here tacked down for a bit. Gold pyramids to silver cones, Studs are taking over. Studded chucks worn by Ms. AGNES, to statement clutch from Jimmy Choo. And Ms. Olsen, always over the top, we will leave it at that.
